Tullio’s phenomenon

Tullio’s phenomenon: Sound-induced vestibular symptoms such as vertigo, nystagmus, oscillopsia, and postural imbalance .

Tullio’s phenomenon is seen mainly in these 5 conditions:

  1. Superior canal dehiscence,
  2. Meniere’s syndrome,
  3. vestibulofibrosis.
  4. other causes of perilymph fistula,
  5. post fenestration surgery (for otosclerosis).

The most common cause at this writing is superior canal dehiscence. Meniere’s syndrome is the second.
